BMW's new G42 generation of the M240i is more spacious and comfortable, while also being engaging and exciting to drive - thanks in part to the chassis being a derivative of the current 4 series car. It wont take long until you realise you're driving something very special, that rewards the driver with handling comparable to older M cars.
Matching perfectly with the chassis, the new twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0L inline six-cylinder engine (B58) is another wonder of internal. It keeps many of the characteristics of historic straight six engines that BMW have historically been so good at producing, and with the help of forced induction taking it to 374 horsepower, couple to the xDrive system, it's no slouch either.
